How paying works

  1. Preview for free. Upload your CV, check the draft the AI makes from it and try any layout and colour scheme. You don’t need an account or a card.
  2. Click Download PDF. Before you pay anything, a summary shows your layout, colour scheme, paper size, number of pages and the price.
  3. Pay on Stripe’s checkout page. You leave YourCVy briefly to pay €5 on Stripe’s secure page.
  4. Get your PDF. When you come back, YourCVy checks with Stripe that the payment went through, and your download starts automatically.

If you’re still looking at the sample CV when you click Download PDF, YourCVy warns you first, so you don’t download the sample by mistake.

Launch period

During our launch period downloads may be free — you’ll always see the current price before you download.

What you get for €5

  • Your CV as a PDF in the layout and colour scheme you chose, on A4 or US Letter paper.
  • Print-ready quality. Pages are rendered at high resolution, for screen and print.
  • Real, selectable text. Every PDF includes real, selectable text that applicant tracking systems can read. You can also copy and search it, and screen readers can read it aloud.
  • Another copy if you need it. You can download the PDF again while your browser tab stays open.
  • A 14-day money-back guarantee if you’re not happy with it.

What the price doesn’t include: a Word file (YourCVy creates PDFs only) and storage of your CV. We don’t keep your CV, so we can’t send it to you again later. Save the PDF somewhere safe, and keep your original file for future changes.

Not sure which design to pay for? If you apply through online job portals, a simple single-column layout is the safest choice. Our guide to ATS-friendly CVs explains why, and you can compare every design on the CV templates page before you decide.

Why there’s no subscription

Most people don’t need a CV tool every week. They update their CV when they start looking for a job, send it out and move on. Paying every month for that makes little sense, so YourCVy charges once, for the one thing you take away: the finished PDF.

Subscriptions are common among online CV builders. When we checked the pricing pages of three large CV builders in October 2026, each offered a 7- or 14-day trial for under £3, €3 or $3. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it turns into a subscription that renews automatically every four weeks, at £16.95, €24.95 or $25.95 a time. Billing every four weeks means 13 payments a year, not 12. That can suit you if you want ongoing access, but a forgotten trial is easy to keep paying for.

With YourCVy there’s nothing to cancel:

  • no account to create or close;
  • no trial and no renewal date;
  • no recurring payment: each €5 payment is a single, one-off charge.

Tip

Whichever CV builder you use, check three things before you enter your card details: the price after any trial, how often it renews and how to cancel. If you start a trial, set a reminder for the day before it ends.

In the UK, you can also ask your card provider to stop a recurring card payment. It must do so even if you haven’t contacted the company, as long as you ask by the end of the business day before the payment is due (FCA guidance). Stopping the payment doesn’t always end the contract, so cancel with the company too.

Money-back guarantee and your right of withdrawal

Not happy with your PDF? Email hello@yourcvy.com within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you in full.

You don’t have to give a reason. Include the email address you used on the payment page and the date you paid, so we can find your payment. We refund the full amount you paid to the way you paid, at the latest within 14 days of your email, even if you have already downloaded the PDF.

The guarantee comes on top of your legal rights and doesn’t replace them. If you buy as a consumer, you also have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (in the UK it’s called the right to cancel): in the EU under the Consumer Rights Directive, explained on Your Europe, and in the UK under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

For digital content such as a PDF, that right can end as soon as the download starts, but only if you expressly ask for the download to start within the 14 days and confirm that you will lose the right (in the UK, regulation 37). We don’t ask you to, so your right of withdrawal lasts the full 14 days, even after you download. Our Terms explain the guarantee and how to withdraw.

Payments by Stripe

  • Where you pay: on Stripe’s own checkout page, by card or with another method Stripe offers you there, such as a digital wallet on supported devices.
  • Your card details: you enter them on Stripe’s page, not on YourCVy, so we never see your full card number.
  • The price: €5 is the final price for each CV download and includes any VAT that applies. We add no fees, no extras and no automatic renewals.
  • Currency: the price is set in euros. Stripe’s payment page may also show it in your own currency, such as pounds; Stripe’s exchange rate then includes a small conversion fee (2–4%), and you can choose to pay in euros instead. If you pay in euros with a card in another currency, your card provider converts the amount and may charge its own fee.
  • Receipt: Stripe asks for your email address on its payment page and sends your receipt there. Keep it: it’s the quickest way for us to find your payment if you ask for a refund.

Questions about pricing

Do I need an account to pay?

No. YourCVy has no accounts. You pay once on Stripe’s checkout page, and your download starts when you come back.

Will I be charged again later?

No. The €5 is a one-off payment for one CV download. There’s no trial, no subscription and nothing that renews.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. You can upload your CV, check the AI draft, edit it, try every layout and colour scheme and use the AI coach without paying. You only pay when you download the PDF.

Can I change my CV after paying?

Yes. While the tab stays open, you can keep editing, switch to another layout or colour scheme and download again as often as you like, at no extra cost. The payment is linked to the name on your CV, so check the name before you pay; a CV for someone else needs its own download. If you have to change the name after paying and the download window asks you to pay again, email hello@yourcvy.com: the 14-day money-back guarantee covers a second payment.

Can I get a Word file instead of a PDF?

No. YourCVy creates PDFs only. Every PDF has real, selectable text, so you can still copy from it. Keep your original Word file if you want to edit your CV somewhere else.

What happens if I close the tab after paying?

Your draft lives only in your browser tab, so it’s gone once you close the tab, and we don’t keep a copy. Save your PDF as soon as it downloads. If the download didn’t work, email hello@yourcvy.com: the 14-day money-back guarantee applies.

Do you store my card details?

No. You enter them on Stripe’s checkout page, so they go to Stripe, not to YourCVy. Our privacy policy explains how payment data is handled.
