What YourCVy is

YourCVy starts from the CV you already have. You upload it, our AI turns it into an editable draft, and then you restyle it, improve the wording and download a print-ready PDF. You don’t retype your history into forms, and you see the result with your own details before you pay anything.

Who it’s for

YourCVy is for people who already have a CV and want it to look and read better. It suits you if:

  • the content of your CV is fine, but the design looks dated or cluttered;
  • you’re applying in the UK, Ireland or elsewhere in Europe and want an A4 layout that fits local habits, with or without a photo;
  • you want help with the wording but want to stay in control of every word;
  • you’d rather pay once than sign up for a subscription.

If you’re starting from nothing, read our guide on how to write a CV first. You can also open the sample CV and replace its content with your own, but YourCVy works best when you upload a CV you already have.

Our principles

Four rules decide what we build and how we describe it.

Truthful

Everything on this site describes what YourCVy actually does. We don’t show reviews, ratings or user numbers we can’t back up, and we don’t promise that a CV will get through an applicant tracking system or get you a job.

Private

No account, no tracking cookies, no analytics and no ads. We don’t keep your CV: your draft lives in your browser tab until you close it.

No subscription traps

Previews, the AI draft, the editor and the coach are free. The download costs €5 once per CV, with a 14-day money-back guarantee, and nothing renews. How pricing works.

Accessible

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard access, visible focus, readable contrast and less motion when your device asks for it. Every PDF has a text layer that screen readers can read.

How the AI is used, and its limits

YourCVy’s AI runs on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Your CV content goes through our own server function to Anthropic’s API, and the result comes back to your browser. We use it for two jobs:

  1. Reading your CV. It turns the text of your file into an editable draft: contact details, profile, experience, education, skills, languages and extra sections such as projects.
  2. The AI coach. In a chat, it suggests better wording for the parts you ask about, such as your summary or bullet points, or helps you tailor your CV to a job advert. It rewrites only what you ask for.

What it won’t do

  • It’s told never to invent employers, numbers or qualifications. When a figure would help, it uses a placeholder such as [X%] for you to replace with the real number.
  • The coach doesn’t edit your CV by itself. Its suggestions appear in the chat, and you decide what goes into your CV.
  • It doesn’t send your CV to employers or apply for jobs for you.

Where it can go wrong

AI can make mistakes. It may misread a date, put a line under the wrong heading or suggest wording that doesn’t sound like you. Check every field and every suggestion before you download or send your CV.

If the AI is unavailable, YourCVy tells you so. For uploads, a simpler reader that runs in your browser fills in the draft instead and asks you to check the details.

YourCVy is independent and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. For prompts and checks that work with any AI tool, see our guide to improving your CV with AI.

How we handle your data

  • We don’t keep your CV. YourCVy has no database and doesn’t save CVs on its servers.
  • Your CV is processed by our AI provider. To read your CV, the file you upload is sent over HTTPS to Anthropic’s API in the USA: a PDF of up to 4 MB as the file itself, including any photo in it, and larger PDFs and Word files as text. The coach sends your messages and the text of your draft. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn’t train its models on this data, and under its current retention policy it deletes it automatically within 30 days, with limited exceptions such as enforcing its usage policy. The CV text sent with your coach messages leaves out your email address, phone number, date of birth, web links and photo.
  • Your draft stays in your browser tab. It’s kept in the tab’s session storage, so reloading the page doesn’t lose your work, and it disappears when you close the tab.
  • No account and no tracking. No sign-up, no tracking cookies, no analytics and no ads.
  • Payments go through Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe’s checkout page, so YourCVy never sees your full card number.

Before you upload, you can delete details a CV rarely needs, such as your full home address, ID numbers or a photo. Our privacy policy has the full details.
